On April 24, 2025, District 228 hosted its annual Skilled Trades Expo at Oak Forest High School, where over 70 graduating students showcased their talents in welding, construction, CNC, CAD design, and robotics. The event welcomed representatives from over a dozen companies who came to observe student work and speak directly with participants.

Industry professionals from organizations such as Ability Engineering, AGS Inc., Agrati Inc., Donson Machine, JH Botts, Mi-Jack Products, Inc., ReMark Training, Career Development Systems, South Suburban College, and others engaged with students from Bremen, Hillcrest, Oak Forest, and Tinley Park High Schools.
